Ingredients
Powdered sugar: 3.2 oz (90 g)
Unsalted butter: 3.5 oz (100 g)
All-purpose flour: 9.9 oz (280 g)
Egg: 1
Baking powder: ½ teaspoon
Cocoa powder: 2–3 tablespoons
Salt: a pinch
Vegetable oil: 3.4 tablespoons (50 ml)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened butter with the powdered sugar until fluffy. Add the vegetable oil and egg, mixing well.
  2. Gradually incorporate the sifted flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt into the butter mixture, kneading to form a soft and pliable dough.
  3. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 20–25 minutes.
  4. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  5. Divide the dough into 12–15 equal parts. Shape each piece into an elongated cookie resembling a pine cone. Use a knife to make crisscross marks on the surface of the cookies.
  6. Place the cookies on the baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes until done.
